Design and Timber Options

One of the nicest things about owning a handmade guitar is that it is unique - no two guitars I make are exactly the same, and many aspects of the guitar's design can be customised to your own specifications, including:

  • Size & shape
  • Timbers
  • Amplification
  • Decoration and inlay
  • Findgerboard width, string spacing etc.
  • Design

    • Size & Shape, The size and shape of your guitar, (including cutaways, scale length, fingerboard width and string spacing) can be built to your preferences

    • Machine Heads, Gold Schaller machines heads are standard for steel strings, but others can also be used.

    Woods

All of my guitars are hand made with the finest solid woods and materials to very high standards and with maticulous attention to detail. There are many timber options:

    • Front (aka top or soundboard), options include Spruce, Cedar.

    • Back & Sides, options include Rosewood, Mahogony, Walnut, Ebony, Maple, amoungst others.

    • Neck, options include Maple, Mahogony, Walnut.

    • Fingerboard, options include Ebony, Rosewood, Walnut.

    Other Options

    • Amplification, A passive or active pickup system can be fitted.

    • Case, Each guitar is supplied in a hardshell Hiscox case as standard. I choose Hiscox cases for the lightweight and durable build quality, but of course you can specify any other case if there is one you would prefer.
